Dr. McEachern grew up in Langley, BC and attended Mountain Secondary School where he was involved in athletics including rugby and volleyball. After four years at SFU studying Kinesiology, he was accepted into the Faculty of Dentistry at UBC and graduated in 1994. Dr. McEachern began his dental career as an associate dentist in our former location at Ellwood Centre under Dr. Barry Dunn. He took over the practice in 1997 and Dr. Brian Strukoff joined him in 2002 as his associate.
Over the years, Dr. McEachern has taken numerous continuing education courses and graduated from The Kois Institute in Seattle (a comprehensive dental education program involving over 300 hours of study). He also graduated from the Vancouver Maxicourse after completing 300 hours of study in implant training. Presently, he is involved in a Treatment Planning Study Club and The Fraser Valley Cast Gold Study Club.
In October 2015, Dr. McEachern moved his practice to its current location in “The Mark” building on South Fraser Way and changed the name to “The Mark Dental Group.” Dr. McEachern and his staff now enjoy an updated state of the art practice environment in a professional building. Over the years, he has strived to keep the practice up to date by incorporating the latest technologies including digital x-rays (with less radiation exposure), Diode lasers, particle abrasion and dental photography.
Dr. McEachern lives in Langley with his wife Jennifer and 2 children, Matthew and Mira. He enjoys running, skiing, golfing and is a huge rugby fan.
